Letters of recommendation are important when applying to college because they can be requested by colleges and scholarships to provide them with a different view of the student that is not reflected on their application.
Students should request at least 3 recommendation letters from junior or senior level core-subject teachers. Depending on the reason for the request, a recommendation from a personal contact (i.e. pastor, family member, coach, etc.) may be required as well.
Request forms may be found in the counseling office or below and MUST BE submitted to the teacher at least 2 weeks in advance to the due date.
